Took the engine out tonight (with the help of my son). Absolute doddle of a job: took the weight with a small trolley-jack, removed all the bolts and lowered the jack. Simple as that (more or less). The engine can of course be picked up by one person, but two makes it so much easier. Then I removed the starter-motor and began cleaning it up ready for its first coat of primer.
